Friar Gate Financial Solutions Ltd has been awarded a Consumer Credit Act License by the Office of Fair Trading.

Friar Gate Financial Solutions Ltd is regulated by the Ministry of Justice in respect of regulated claims management activities.

The Consumer Credit Act of 1974 was meant to protect UK Consumers, however lack of understanding on how the act worked and fear of banks by consumers has allowed the credit industry to become lazy and in many cases to ignore their duty to offer fair and understandable credit agreements.

The new 2006 act has made things clearer and has allowed many consumers to successfully challenge the banks and win compensation and have seen balances written off on all manner of credit agreements.

Approximately 50 million Credit Agreements are created in the UK each year and we believe well over 25 million of those could be unenforceable. FGFS helps you receive financial compensation as a result of invalid, unenforceable or fundamentally flawed consumer credit agreements.

We assist our Clients to win a settlement within 6 to 9 months of their claim being accepted by our panel.

Our service is straight forward and there are 4 basic steps.

Step 1

Tell us about your mortgage, secured loan, credit card and motor finance history.

Complete a Client Review Form with our representative or via the call centre.

This is a simple process to help us understand the basic information about your mortgage, secured loan and motor finance contracts. We can go back over ten years. We need information like name of finance company, account name and number No financial commitment is required at this point.

Step 2
Underwriting

We need to contact your lender to obtain full copies of the relevent document for your credit agreement.

Sign
Sign a letter of authority to allow us to get information from the finance company.

Cheque
A £10 and a £1 cheque payable to each lender for the release of documents that will be required Cost
At this stage FGFS charges £200 for each claim you wish to pursue.

We assess each agreement and the chance of making a successful claim.

There are three potential outcomes:

Yes
The review has identified a good chance of success for a claim on this particular product.

No
We do not believe that making a claim would result in a successful claim.

Step 3
Your choice

You tell us how many claims to pursue: There is no limit to the number of potential claims you can instruct us to proceed with.

For each claim to be pursued you will be required to:

Cheque, Cost
At this stage FGFS requires a deposit of £300 for each claim you wish to pursue.

Our Promise - in the event of a claim being unsuccessful we will refund the £300 in full, (*There is no refund following a successful claim)

Step 4
We process the claim

If all or part of your Credit Agreement is unfair and therefore unenforceable, FGFS act on your behalf to have any outstanding debt written off. we will also request the refund of previous repayments and interest charges.

Our full fee is 20% of the total compensation we win for you, ( The initial deposit of £300 is deducted from our final fee).

FGFS can check all your Consumer Credit Agreements including: Secured Loans Unsecured Loans, Hire Purchase, Consolidation Loans Car Loans/Finance Credit Cards and Store Cards etc.

We can seek to have the total loan agreements written off, we also check for misold PPI policies and unfair charges.
